Meet Ron DeSantis

Biography
Timeline

From humble beginnings, Ron DeSantis's grandfather worked in the steel mills of Pennsylvania and Ohio. His mother was a nurse, and his father installed Nielsen TV rating boxes throughout the state of Florida. As a child, DeSantis found passion in America's pastime: baseball. From playing in the Little League World Series as a kid, to becoming a baseball legend at Yale, where he served as captain of the team and held the highest batting average for the Bulldogs, Governor DeSantis worked to put himself through college and Harvard Law School before courageously volunteering to serve our country in the U.S. Navy.

As a JAG Officer in the U.S. Navy, Ron deployed to Iraq in support of the SEAL mission in Fallujah, Ramadi and the rest of Al Anbar province, where he earned a Bronze Star Medal.

Upon the completion of his military service, Ron DeSantis wasn’t done serving. Ron served as a federal prosecutor, where he targeted and convicted child predators. He was elected to Congress in 2012 by a 57-43% margin, with majorities in all four counties. Congressman DeSantis was also a leading champion for America’s veterans and helped enact reforms to the VA with an emphasis on mental health, and established the House Freedom Caucus (HFC). HFC was founded to fight against the establishment Washington elites and give conservatives across the nation a real voice in the U.S. Congress.

Ron DeSantis was elected Governor of Florida in 2018 by a razor-thin margin. But after tackling woke corporations, fighting for parents and keeping indoctrination out of our classrooms, refusing to back down to Dr. Fauci’s draconian COVID recommendations, and keeping his state open and free while creating an economic powerhouse, DeSantis won re-election by the widest margin in a generation. Ron DeSantis has NEVER lost an election and is the Republican Party’s best chance to beat Joe Biden and radical Democrats in the 2024 Presidential election.

Governor DeSantis’s steadfast, conservative principles have led him to enact a bold agenda that has transformed Florida into a blueprint for the nation. He’s delivered win after win, and never backs down from battles - no matter how tough - that protect the people. No leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor DeSantis, and he will do the same in fighting for our country.

Ron is married to Casey DeSantis, an Emmy Award winning television host. Together, they’re the proud parents of their daughters, Madison and Mamie, and their son, Mason.
